Assembly Technician

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Supports: Manufacturing

Hours:  Full-time Hourly + OT: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm; 4/10 work schedule (Mon-Thurs)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow production schedule and documentation as determined by production supervisor or line leader.
  • Work as team member on continuous flow production line using basic equipment. 
  • Operate automatic stripping, crimping, IDC tools.
  • Operate hand crimping tools.
  • Perform pull tests on setups. 
  • Inspect complete parts being produced per prints.
  • Operate test equipment.
  • IPC class 2 level Soldering.
  • Build level 1 and 2 first article pieces.
  • Perform basic setup on crimping presses. 
  • Setup test fixtures.
  • Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of and actively contribute to Lean Manufacturing processes 


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Manufacturing exposure or background in electronics
  • Understanding of Bills-of-Materials and Process documentation.
  • Electrical technician/troubleshooting skills


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent work attendance record.
  • Good interpersonal communication – a team player.
  • Positive and professional demeanor with strong sense of urgency
  • Must be able to multi-task and support other roles as required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving and examining objects at standard reach.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others to exchange information.
